How to Send a Parcel from Cyprus to Germany

Sending to Germany from Cyprus

Germany is an EU destination, so parcels from Cyprus travel without EU customs duty. That makes Germany one of the easiest countries to send to from Cyprus.

Choose the right service

  • Registered Post: 4 to 10 working days, signature on delivery, good for documents and letters.
  • EMS: 2 to 5 working days, priority handling, full tracking, best for urgent parcels.
  • Parcel Post: economical for heavier parcels, full tracking.

Remember: from 1 January 2026, Registered Post sent internationally is for documents and letters only. For goods, choose Parcel Post or EMS.

No EU customs duty

Because Cyprus and Germany are both in the EU, no customs duty applies to goods sent between them. You may still need to declare contents for postal security, but the recipient does not pay EU import duty. This is a big advantage over sending to the UK or the USA.

German address format

Write the address in this order: recipient name, street and house number, postcode and city. Example: Maria Schmidt, Hauptstrasse 12, 10115 Berlin. Include your Cyprus return address on the parcel. For official service details, use the official Cyprus Post website at https://www.cypruspost.post/.
