Cyprus Post Tracking Number Format Explained
Cyprus Post tracking numbers at a glance
Most Cyprus Post tracking numbers use 2 letters, 9 digits and CY at the end. QuickPost is the exception, with a 10 digit number. If you learn these patterns, you can tell at once whether a number is valid and which service carries your parcel.
The standard international format
The standard format follows the world postal pattern: a 2 letter service code, a 9 digit serial, and the 2 letter country code CY for Cyprus. The letters tell you the service, and CY tells you the parcel was posted in Cyprus. Always enter the full number with capital letters and no spaces.
Format table
| Service | Format | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Registered Post | RR plus 9 digits plus CY | RR123456789CY |
| EMS | EE plus 9 digits plus CY | EE123456789CY |
| Parcel Post | CP or CX plus 9 digits plus CY | CP123456789CY |
| Premium | CE plus 9 digits plus CY | CE123456789CY |
| QuickPost | 10 digit number | 1234567890 |
What the letters mean
- RR means Registered Post, a tracked service with a signature on delivery.
- EE means EMS, the fast priority service.
- CP and CX mean parcel services for everyday parcels.
- CE means Premium, a higher tier tracked service.
- CY at the end means the item was posted in Cyprus.
U prefix warning
Numbers that start with the letter U are often untracked or only partly tracked. They may show few scans or no delivery scan. If your number starts with U, ask the seller for the full postal tracking number.
Order number warning
A shop order number is not a tracking number. Order numbers come from the shop checkout. Tracking numbers come from the postal service. If you only have an order number, ask the seller for the Cyprus Post tracking number.
Check your number
Remove spaces, use capital letters, and count the digits. A standard number has 13 characters in total: 2 letters, 9 digits and CY. A QuickPost number has 10 digits and no letters. For live results, use the official Cyprus Post website at https://www.cypruspost.post/.
